WANDERLUST

Every once in a while in a woman's life

She's got to pack her bags and hit the trail

She's got to bid farewell to the ones she loves

She's got a case of Wanderlust and she's got to set sail

'Cause she felt that wind

Blowing from the southeast

And that means change, and she's just got to scratch

Those itchy feet

'Cause there's a little bit of gypsy

In everyone's heart

And you find sometimes

You've got to listen to that part

Every once in a while in a woman's life

She's got to pack her bags and hit that trail

You can't quit your job

You can't leave school

If you just take it easy you could work your way up

In the typing pool

You've got a great apartment

They're so hard to find

What about the pension plan

You better change your mind

But when that urge to roam

Can't be put down

You take out your money and you give away your sofa

And you blow this town

Maybe just for a while

Or until God knows

But don't just take it easy

Take a good map and go

Every once in a while in a woman's life

She's got to pack her bags and hit that trail

She's got to bid farewell to the ones she loves

She's got a case of Wanderlust and she's got to set sail
